Level 3 Teaching Assistant – 32.5 hours per week

Fixed Term Contract 1/9/2017 to 31/08/2018 (in the first instance)

Skilts School is a residential special school for young people from 5-11 with complex needs including Autism and Social and Emotional difficulties who often have a previous history of very challenging behaviour.

We are seeking teaching assistants with 2 years of relevant experience who have achieved their Level 3 Teaching Assistant Diploma who would like to work in our unique and constantly developing environment.

Skilts School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.  An enhanced DBS check is required for all successful applicants.

Please be advised that two references will be taken up for all shortlisted candidates prior to interview and will form part of the interview decision process.  One reference must be from your present or most recent line manager, friends will not be accepted as a referee.  If you are shortlisted and have ticked that you do not wish a referee to be contacted we will contact you to ask for permission to do so.   If permission is denied, this will disqualify you from interview.

Section 12 of the application form is to be completed in line with the Person Specification.

Incomplete application forms could lead to disqualification.  CVs will not be taken into consideration.
